Location: Hybrid – Worcester, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Compensation: $35,000 salary for 6-month initial period
Career Path: Opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Email and phone communication; no in-person strategy meetings required)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer service-minded Account Executive to support our Small Business Unit (SBU). In this role, you'll be responsible for the retention and day-to-day service of an assigned book of Commercial Lines accounts. You’ll act as a trusted resource, ensuring clients’ coverage needs are met, renewals are smooth, and service is timely and professional. This is a client-facing role—but all communication will be handled via email and phone, with no in-person strategy meetings required.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about small business insurance, committed to client satisfaction, and looking to grow within a supportive, established team.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of an assigned book of commercial accounts, including policy changes, invoicing, and coverage reviews

  • Maintain appropriate coverage for clients by identifying gaps and recommending solutions

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone and email

  • Understand client operations and offer coverage strategies that evolve with their needs

  • Facilitate the renewal process: gather data, secure renewals, negotiate with underwriters, and present terms in advance

  • Conduct remarketing when needed, including rating online or completing carrier applications

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and IMA team members

  • Contribute to agency growth through account rounding, cross-selling, and upselling within the existing book of business

  • Follow established workflows and ensure all records are accurate and updated


What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of commercial lines insurance experience (agency/broker experience preferred)

  • Active Property & Casualty License required

  • Familiarity with BOP, GL, WC, E&O, Cyber, and other commercial coverages

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment

  • Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, AMS360) and Microsoft Office
